Itsounds like good logical theory though, just that the movie never made it clear as to why this was. I guess aswell it broke away from the traditional concepts of fairytales whenever it comes to female protagonists being brought out of a sleep or brought out of it from being kissed by a handsome prince, and not a rugged peasent lol.

There are complicated elements at work here, with threads of curdled vengeance, victim entitlement, and insanity bound together in ways it would take a much smarter film to unravel. Snow White And The Huntsman doesn't try, and the film just keeps getting dumber as it goes along.
